Osteopathy is a unique form of medicine that works to understand the cause of a patient's symptoms rather then just diagnose and medicate. This requires more time then is allowed in our insurance system. In order to maintain this autonomy most Osteopathic practices are fee for service meaning you pay at the time of treatment and then submit the diagnosis codes to your insurance company. Dr. Christina Steele is a board certified Family Medicine Practicioner and will give you a receipt to mail to your insurance. This includes a family practice office visit (code 99203 for a new patient and 99214 for an established visit), and an Osteopathic Manipulation Code of 98927. If you can go out of network we are finding that insurance companies are covering between 30%-90% of the bill. Our office manager will be happy to help you to receive the highest reimbursement possible.
