German Trained Osteopath
Jan Petrus Koop graduatedfrom SKOM, he is a faculty and fellow with the SCCO (Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy), and the president of the Kindersprechstunde (Children's Free Osteopathic Clinic). In 2003 he traveled to America to train with Dr. Jealous completing over sixty courses, and is currently a faculty member teaching Biodynamics both in the US and Germany. He currently practices outside of Washington D.C. in the United States, and in Lüneburg Germany. Jan Petrus Koop is not an American trained physician but trained as a German Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Physical Therapist, and in Osteopathic Manual Medicine.
Family Physician
Dr. Steele completed medical school in Los Angeles, California, where she also completed a Masters degree in International Health and Health Education, summa cum laude. After completing a residency in general medicine, Dr. Steele completed a second fellowship in Neuromuskuloskelatal Medicine with the American Academy of Osteopathy through the University of New England. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practitioners, and the American Academy of Osteopathy, and holds an associate professorship in Anatomy at Husson College in Maine; where she previously maintained an independent practice for women and children. She has been a recurring guest lecturer at the U of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Western University of Health Sciences, Eastern Maine Medical Center, and Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine. Dr. Steele is on faculty with Dr. James Jealous and has trained with both Dr. Jealous and Dr. Viola Frymann since 1997. She currently has a practice with a specialty in pediatrics just outside of Washington DC, and teaches Bio-Dynamic Osteopathy in Germany, the U.S. and other countries.
After having spent most of her life in Maryland and the DC area, Dr. Levy completed medical school in California, a 3-year Family Medicine residency in Maine, and a one-year Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine fellowship in Long Island, New York. Prior to joining this office, Dr. Levy worked in New York practicing and teaching osteopathic manipulative medicine and family medicine to resident physicians and medical students. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Levy also has a masters degree in public health with a focus in epidemiology, is certified in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona, and has been trained in Usui reiki. She is happy to be back in Maryland practicing osteopathy.
